Section 17-1620-24 - Hearings Requirements for administrative hearings shall be as provided in chapter 17-1602, except that:
(1) In the case of a successful appeal from a denial of an application for adoption assistance made after the finalization of the adoption, adoption assistance shall be paid retroactive as of the date of the department's receipt of the application for adoption assistance; and(2) In the case of a successful appeal from a denial of an application for adoption assistance made prior to the finalization of the adoption, adoption assistance shall be initiated in accordance with this chapter.Haw.
