Section 17-1424-1 - Department's responsibility(a) The department shall recruit and license adult day care centers for disabled adults.(b) This chapter establishes the standards which shall be applied by the department in granting a certificate of approval to operate an adult day care center for disabled adults.(c) The standards shall not apply to any center or facility conducted solely for the purpose of education, social or recreational activities, or that is licensed by the state department of health as an adult day health facility.[Eff 6/29/92; am and comp 10/04/01] (Auth: HRS § 346-83) (Imp: HRS § 346-83)
