Section 17-1422-1 - Goals(a) In general, the requested service shall be given to help individuals: (1) Become or stay self-supporting and not dependent upon public assistance;(2) Become or stay self-sufficient and not dependent on others to take care of the individual and the individual's daily living needs; and(3) Prevent premature institutional care.(b) Services shall be given to a repatriate who is without resources immediately available for the period necessary to enable the individual to utilize other resources for maintenance.[Eff 6/29/92] (Auth: HRS § 346-14) (Imp: HRS § 346-14; 45 C.F.R. §212.3 )
