Section 16-95-22 - Application and requirements for pharmacist license by examination(a) An application for license by examination shall be accompanied by the required application fee, which shall not be refunded, and the examination fee. An examination fee may be refunded provided a written request for refund is made prior to the application deadline.(b) An applicant shall: (1) Have attained the age of majority; and(2) Hold a degree from a school or college of pharmacy which has received candidate status with or has been accredited by the ACPE;(c) For issuance of the license, the applicant shall provide evidence of:(1) At least fifteen hundred hours of practical experience; and(2) Passage of either the NABPLEX or the NAPLEX, and the Hawaii Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE). The MPJE requires a passing score of at least seventy-five points.(d) An applicant who is a participant in the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy's (NABP) score transfer program shall be responsible for having the score report sent to the board.(e) A foreign graduate, in addition to the requirements in subsections (a) to (d) and in lieu of the candidacy or accreditation requirements by the ACPE in subsection (b)(2), shall provide verification of passing the following: (1) The Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE); and(2) The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); [Eff 5/16/64; am 3/16/80; am and ren § 16-95-22, 6/22/81; am and comp 12/24/92; comp 12/25/04] (Auth: HRS § 461-4.5) (Imp: HRS §§ 461-5, 461-6)Am and comp 06/22/15; Am and Comp 8/15/2016
