Haw. Code R. § 16-74-127

Current through April, 2024
Section 16-74-127 - Proper termination

Should a contestant finish any one round of a contest and fails for any one of numerous reasons, such as cuts, injuries or admissions of overwhelming superiority, to answer the bell for the succeeding round, the proper termination of the bout is by a technical knockout in the round for which he failed to answer the bell. For instance, both contestants have finished round six. One of them fails to answer the bell for round seven, or indicates to the referee that he will not answer the bell. It is a "TKO-7". Indeed the man should be regarded as technically counted out while seated in his corner just as if the bell had sounded for the seventh round. Certainly he completed round six and cannot, therefore, be credited with a loss in the sixth.
