Section 16-74-125 - Between rounds

No contestant shall leave the ring during any one minute rest period between rounds; should any contestant fail or refuse to resume boxing when the gong sounds denoting the commencement of the next succeeding round, the referee shall count out such boxer; if any contestant is physically incapacitated or is unable to continue after the conclusion of any one round, his failure to reenter after the gong has sounded shall be a token of defeat and the referee shall award the decision to his opponent unless the circumstances indicate to the referee requirement for investigation or other punitive action, in which event the referee shall recommend the purse or purses of either or both boxers be withheld and he shall make a full report containing recommendations to the commission.
