Section 16-74-73 - Nonresidents(a) Licensing. Nonresident managers accompanying their boxers to the State may be granted a manager's license upon proper application.(b) Earnings. A nonresident manager who sends boxers to the State, but does not accompany them, may request that his share of the boxer's earnings be withheld, provided: (1) He holds a manager's license in a recognized jurisdiction and is in good standing in that jurisdiction;(2) He makes proper notification to the commission requesting this action prior to the contest or contests in which his boxer participates.(c) Representative. Nonresident managers who do not accompany their boxers to the State, may designate local managers to represent them, in which case a power-of-attorney in favor of the local manager will be required, and filed with the commission.(d) Free agent. In the event a nonresident boxer, unaccompanied by his manager, qualifies to appear in a contest, he shall be considered a "free agent" unless such request as provided for above, has been filed and recognized by the commission.[Eff 10/2/81; comp 10/5/91] (Auth: HRS § 440-6) (Imp: HRS § 440-9)
