Section 16-74-258 - Pre-eligibility

In any bout in which a state champion participates, his title shall be at stake in all cases where the official weigh-in shows his opponent to be within the maximum weight limit of the champion's class, provided his opponent meets the following qualifications:

(1) Has established residence in the State not less than three consecutive months prior to such a contest.

(2) Maintains a legal residence in the State as shown by:

(A) Domicile;

(B) Filing of tax returns; or

(C) Permanent occupation.
