Section 16-72-33 - Examination(a) Every applicant applying for a license to practice as an acupuncturist shall pass the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine's (NCCAOM) written comprehensive examination or such other written examination as the board may determine.(b) The examination shall be consistent with the practical and theoretical requirements of acupuncture practice as provided by chapter 436E, HRS, and this chapter. The examination shall stand on its own merits.
