Any area originally approved as a lanai and not included as floor area under the requirements of this chapter shall not be subsequently enclosed without first meeting all applicable requirements relating to the addition of floor area; provided that any proposed lanai enclosure shall be considered by the authority only if the permit application is based on the enclosure of all lanai areas of the original development.
As a condition to the initial project approval, covenants or other documentation may be required to assure that lanais will not be converted to floor area except in accordance with this section.
