Section 13-183-70 - Directional drilling
(a) Where the surface of a parcel of land is unsuitable for drilling, a directionally drilled (other than a vertical direction) well may be located upon another parcel which may or may not be contiguous. The location of a well shall be not less than twenty-five feet from the outer boundary of the parcel of which it is located and not less than twenty-five feet from an existing street or road. The production or injection interval of a well shall be not less than one hundred feet from the outer boundary of the parcel into which it is drilled. Directional well surveys shall be filed with the department for all wells directionally drilled.
(b) No well shall be intentionally deviated from the vertical without the chairperson's approval.
