If any provision, section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or term of this chapter or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity shall not affect any remaining provisions, sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, phrases, terms, or applications of the chapter which can be given full effect without the invalidity, and to this end the provisions, sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, phrases, and terms of this chapter are declared to be severable.
