Section 11-99-64 - Housekeeping(a) A plan shall be made for routine cleaning of the entire building and premises.(b) After discharge of any resident, that resident's unit and equipment shall be thoroughly cleansed prior to re-use.(c) Floors, lavatories, toilets, and showers in resident areas shall be cleaned at least once daily.(d) The facility shall be kept free of unreasonable accumulation of personal possessions.(e) All floors, walls, ceilings, windows and fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair.(f) All safety procedures shall be in accordance with the rules of the department of labor and industrial relations, State of Hawaii.(g) All areas which have contained infectious residents and materials shall be thoroughly cleaned by appropriate sanitizing methods.(h) Sufficient locked storage areas shall be provided for all cleaning materials and equipment.[Eff.
