Section 11-93-19 - Life safety(a) Facilities licensed under this chapter shall be inspected at least annually by appropriate fire authorities for compliance with state and county rules and ordinances.(b) Smoking regulations shall be adopted. No smoking signs shall be posted where flammable liquids, combustible gases or oxygen are used or stored.(c) Every building shall have an electrically supervised, manually operated fire alarm system installed to transmit an alarm automatically to the fire department or to an approved central station.(d) Evacuation floor plans or signage shall be posted in prominent locations as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association.(e) Fire drills shall include the transmission of a fire alarm signal and be held at least quarterly for each shift under varied conditions.
