Section 11-93-15 - Housekeeping(a) A plan shall be made for routine periodic cleaning of the entire building and premises.(b) After discharge of any patient, the patient's unit and equipment shall be thoroughly cleaned prior to re-use.(c) Floors, lavatories, toilets, and showers in patient areas shall be cleaned at least once daily.(d) The facility shall be kept free of unreasonable accumulation of personal possessions.(e) All floors, walls, ceilings, windows and fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair.(f) All safety procedures shall be in accordance with the rules of the department of labor and industrial relations, State of Hawaii.(g) All areas which have contained infectious patients and material shall be thoroughly cleaned with appropriate sanitizing methods.[Eff. 3/3/86] (Auth: HRS §§ 321-9, 321-11) (Imp: HRS §§ 321-9, 321-11)
