Section 11-37-1 - Purpose and applicability
(a) The purpose of this chapter is to set forth the requirements for the processing of hemp and the sale of hemp products to provide for the protection of the health and safety of the general public.
(b) Subchapters 1 to 3 apply to all persons who package, label, sell, hold for sale, offer, or distribute hemp products within the State, including persons who import or offer for import hemp products into the State.
(c) All subchapters apply to persons processing hemp within the State.
(d) If any provision of this chapter or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of this chapter which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this chapter are severable.
