Current through November, 2024
Section 11-100.1-1 - Purpose

This chapter establishes minimum standards and requirements for the licensure of adult residential care homes (ARCH) and expanded ARCHs in order to protect the health, safety, welfare and civil rights of the residents residing in the ARCH and expanded ARCH. Services shall be provided in a cooperative manner with the intent to promote the dignity and choice of the resident in a home-like environment. The rules are not intended to intrude on the privacy or infringe on the desire of individuals to provide care or services to another in their own home, but where such services are provided for a fee, the department reserves the right to ensure compliance with this chapter.
