Section 10-5-37 - Subpoenas(a) Subpoenas requiring the attendance of a witness, or the production of documentary evidence from any place within the State, at any designated place of hearing, may be issued by the chairman, any member of the commission, or hearing officer designated to preside at the hearing. Application therefor may be made either to the commission or hearing officer.(b) Application for subpoenas for the production of documentary evidence shall be made in writing to the commission or hearing officer designated to preside at the hearing. The application must be reasonable in scope and must specify as precisely as possible the documents desired, and must show their general relevancy.
