Section 10-3-44 - Loan applications
(a) Applications for a loan or a loan guarantee shall be made on forms provided by the department. All applications shall be filed with the department. The filing may be made with district offices of the department.
(b) The applicant shall not be required to pay any fees in connection with the filing of an application but shall be charged for the cost incurred by the department in obtaining credit reports and other financial information deemed necessary by the department.
(c) A holder of a homestead lease may apply to the department for the approval of a loan to be made by other government agencies or private lending institutions. Upon receipt of an application, the department shall review the application, and determine whether or not to guarantee the loan based on loan standards set forth in section 10-3-46.
