Rule 668-1-.01 - Area School Program
(1) Statutory Authority. O.C.G.A. 20-4-14.
(2) Purpose. The purpose of this program is to provide postsecondary technical education to a designated service area of the state through locally governed technical institutes.
(3) Terms and Conditions. Grants are awarded to provided postsecondary technical education through approved programs of study leading to employment with business and industry and to provide services to industry for the purpose of updating and training personnel.
(4) Eligible Recipients. Technical Institutes governed by local boards of education.
(5) Criteria for Award. Grants are awarded to postsecondary technical institutes under the governance of local boards of education which serve designated areas of the state as determined by the State Board of Technical and Adult Education.
(6) Directions and Deadlines for Applying. Requests for information should be made to the Office of Technical Education, 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, Georgia 30345-4304.
