Rule 375-3-1-.14 - Verification of Customer Information. Revised(1) Any information provided by a customer pursuant to any provision of these regulations or under the auspices of a Code Section contained within Chapter 5 of Title 40 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated relating to the issuance, renewal, reinstatement of a driver's license, permit, or identification card or other services provided by Department is subject to verification.(2) The Department shall make copies or digital images of any documents presented by a customer for such purposes for use in such verification. All such documents shall be retained for no less than ten (10) years.(3) Imaged documents shall be considered part of the customer's driving record and accessible only pursuant to the provisions of O.C.G.A. § 40-5-2.(4) In the event the Department is unable to verify information provided pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. § 19-11-9.1, the DDS shall initiate a cancellation of such customer's driver's license, permit or identification card as provided in O.C.G.A. § 40-5-50. Such cancellation shall be made effective no more than 120 days from the date on which the information was provided by the customer as reflected in the records of the Department.Ga. Comp. R. & Regs.
