Rule 120-3-25-.01 - Promulgation and Purpose(1) These rules and regulations of the Safety Fire Commissioner entitled, "Rules and Regulations for escalators and elevators" are promulgated to establish the State's minimum fire safety codes and standards for escalators and elevators as specified in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, (O.C.G.A.) Section 8-2-1.(2) A primary purpose of these rules and regulations is to establish the state minimum safety codes and standards for the prevention of loss of life, injury and structural damage in all buildings, structures and other locations governed by state regulations.Ga.
