Rule 120-2-12-.02 - PurposeThe purpose of this Regulation is:
1. To implement the Insurance Laws of the State of Georgia with respect to advertising and sale of Accident and Sickness Insurance in this State, as defined in Section 33-7-2 of the Georgia Insurance Laws, and included in Section 33-7-3.2. To protect the interests of the Accident and Sickness Insurance Public of this State by: (a) The establishment of minimum standards of conduct to be observed by advertisers and sellers of Accident and Sickness Insurance;(b) Requiring truthful, complete, clear and accurate disclosure of all material and relevant information in the advertising and sale of accident and sickness insurance so that members of the insurance public can adequately make a decision in their own best interest.3. To prevent the use of unfair methods of competition and unfair practices among insurers with regard to the advertising, promotion and sale of accident and sickness insurance in this State.Ga. Comp.
