Section 69K-8.002 - Cancellation of Contracts(1) A purchaser may cancel a preneed contract in accordance with the terms of the contract, statute and rules that were effective at the time the contract was written.(2) If the contract requires a greater refund than the statute or rules, the terms of the contract must be honored.(3) When a preneed contract or cemetery contract is canceled, the accumulated earnings allocable to such contract shall be paid to the preneed licensee as provided by the statute and rules in effect when the contract was written.(4) The seller of a preneed or cemetery contract may not cancel the contract unless the purchaser is in default under the terms of the contract or pursuant to the applicable statute and rules.Fla.
