Section 69K-15.001 - Course in Mortuary Science(1) A course in mortuary science will be approved by the Board if taught at a university or college accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education, a university or college accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, or other schools, colleges and universities in the subject areas identified in paragraph 497.368(1)(d), F.S.(2) Universities and/or colleges offering courses in mortuary science which do not meet the requirements of subsection (1), above, may be approved by the Board upon a finding by the Board that the institution substantially complies with the criteria for accreditation established by the American Board of Funeral Service Education.Fla.
