Section 40B-2.011 - Policy and Purpose

(1) The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) regulates all water uses within its boundaries pursuant to the provisions of chapter 373, F.S., in a manner consistent with Chapter 62-40, F.A.C., and with the overall policies, goals and objectives of the District. The Governing Board hereby adopts by reference the following rules of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection: subsections 62-40.416(7) and 62-40.416(8), F.A.C., effective May 6, 2013, which are hereby incorporated by reference as of March 24, 2014. (2) This chapter implements the comprehensive water use permit system contemplated in Part II of Chapter 373, F.S.
