Section 12D-7.014 - Homestead Exemptions - Civil Rights(1) Although loss of suffrage is one consequence of a felony conviction, the person so convicted is not thereby deprived of his right to obtain homestead exemption.(2) An unmarried minor whose disabilities of non-age have not been removed may not maintain a permanent home away from his parents such as to entitle him or her to homestead exemption.
