Rule 9-511 - DEEDS ISSUED PURSUANT TO FORECLOSURE PROCEEDINGS
511.1

Any deed which is issued pursuant to a foreclosure sale and submitted for recordation shall be subject to the tax imposed pursuant to § 303 of the Act (D.C. Official Code § 42-1103) regardless of the identity of the grantee named in the deed, including a grantee who is the original secured party or mortgagee under the deed of trust or mortgage which secured the debt or other obligation on the property in question.

511.2

Any deed which is issued in place of a foreclosure sale and submitted for recordation shall be subject to the tax imposed pursuant to § 303 of the Act (D.C. Official Code § 42-1103) regardless of the identity of the grantee named in the deed, including a grantee who is the original secured party or mortgagee under the deed of trust or mortgage which secured the debt or other obligation on the property in question.

511.3

For purposes of this section, the measure of the tax shall be the consideration for the deed as provided in § 303 of the Act.

511.4

The provisions of § 502 of this chapter shall apply to this section.
