The retention standing of each employee released from his or her competitive level shall be determined as of the date of release.
When the University discovers an error in the determination of an employee's retention standing, it shall correct the error and adjust any erroneous reduction in force action in accordance with the employee's true retention standing as of the effective date established under this section.
