Rule 8-A2502 - DELEGATION OF CONTRACTING AUTHORITY
2502.1

The chief contracting officer for the School of Law shall be the Director of Procurement, who shall be appointed by the Dean.

2502.2

The Director of Procurement shall be a contracting officer for the School of Law and shall be authorized to appoint contracting officers from among the employees of the School of Law.

2502.3

The Director may delegate all or any part of his or her contracting authority to each contracting officer appointed under this section. Each delegation and modification of delegated contracting authority shall be in writing and shall set forth any limitations on the individual contracting officer's authority.

2502.4

All contracts in excess of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000), including modifications of existing contracts which would increase the value of those contracts above the limit, shall be approved by the Board of Governors of the School of Law.

2502.5

The Dean may require that contracts of a particular type or contracts above a specified dollar amount must be approved by the Dean prior to execution.
