In accordance with D.C. Code, § 31-1543(m), the Board of Governors shall annually elect from among its members a Chairperson and Vice Chairperson who shall serve until their successors are elected in accordance with this section.
The annual election of the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Board shall be the first order of business conducted at the regular monthly meeting held in June of each year.
The Chairperson and Vice Chairperson shall be elected by majority vote of the full Board of Governors.
The annual election of the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson shall be called to order by the Executive Assistant to the Board, who shall preside until the election of the Chairperson.
The election for the office of the Chairperson shall precede the election for the office of the Vice Chairperson.
Nominations for the office of Chairperson or Vice Chairperson may be made by any member of the Board of Governors. No second shall be required for nomination.
