2000.1This chapter prescribes policies and procedures to be followed by any person seeking service of process upon members of the Metropolitan Police Department (Department) in connection with a legal matter arising out of the performance of their official duties for the Department.
2000.2These policies and procedures shall not apply to service of process for legal matters which do not arise out of a member's performance of his or her official duties for the Department.
