Rule 5-A3031 - PARENTAL CONSENT3031.1The LEA shall obtain parental consent before:
(a) Conducting an initial evaluation of a child to determine if a child qualifies as a child with a disability;(b) The initial provision of special education and related services to a child;(c) Conducting a reevaluation of a child with a disability; or(d) Disclosing the child's personally identifiable information unless the information is contained in educational records and the disclosure is authorized without parental consent under FERPA.3031.2Parental consent may be revoked at any time, as follows:
(a) Revocation shall be provided in writing; and(b) If a parent revokes consent, that revocation is not retroactive and does not negate an action that has occurred after the consent was given and before the consent was revoked.D.C. Mun. Regs. tit. 5, r. 5-A3031
