Rule 3-3714 - REPORTS AND STATEMENTS UNDER OATH
3714.1

All reports and statements filed pursuant to the Act shall be verified by the oath or affirmation of the person filing such reports or statements in accordance with Chapter 30 of this title.

3714.2

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this title, neither the Director of Campaign Finance, or any of the Director's officers or employees may require that a document be sworn under oath or affirmed, unless the Director of Campaign Finance maintain at the place of receipt of such documents, and during the regular business days and hours, a notary public to administer such oaths an affirmations.

3714.3

If no such notary public is available, person wishing to file documents for which an oath or affirmation is requested, may in lieu thereof, affirm by their signatureon an Affirmation Statement that their statements are true under penalty of D.C. Official Code § 1-1163.35, as prescribed by the Director of Campaign Finance.
