Rule 29-7508 - EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE - FIRST MONTH'S RENT
7508.1

Assistance may be authorized for the first month's rent for a housing unit in the District if:

(a) The applicant is eligible for a security deposit payment as specified in section 7507;
(b) The first month's rent must be paid in conjunction with the security deposit in order for the applicant to assume tenancy; and
(c) The applicant has no other means of paying for the first month's rent at the time it is required.
7508.2

The maximum emergency assistance payment for first month's rent shall not exceed the actual amount of one (1) month's unsubsidized rent, as specified by the landlord.
