Rule 29-7502 - APPLICANT UNIT
7502.1

The applicant's household shall be composed of each individual who lives with the applicant and whose needs, assets, and income are combined to determine eligibility.

7502.2

The applicant's household may be composed of a single individual, a family as defined by section 2(16) of the Act (D.C. Official Code § 4-751.01(16)) , or any combination of persons.

7502.3

A person temporarily away from home due to employment, hospitalization, vacation, a visit, or school shall be considered to be living in the applicant's household.

7502.4

Applications for separate households shall be recognized, but processed concurrently, if the requested payment is the joint legal responsibility of multiple applicants from different households. Assistance may be authorized only for an applicant's prorated share of the amount necessary to resolve the emergency.
