Rule 29-6222 - RESIDENTS' ACCOUNTS
6222.1

The facility may provide residents with an allowance which is appropriate to the resident's age and level of development. The facility shall not require residents to use an allowance to purchase hygiene products, food, or any other item which the facility is required to purchase pursuant to this Chapter.

6222.2

The facility shall encourage residents to save money and promote the development of money management skills.

6222.3

Each facility shall maintain a separate accounting system for funds belonging to residents, including complete and accurate records of all transactions regarding these funds. Upon request, the facility shall provide to the resident, the resident's parent or guardian, or the resident's guardian ad litem, an accounting of the resident's funds.

6222.4

A resident's funds shall accompany the resident when he or she is discharged from the facility.
