Rule 29-5206 - CRISIS/EMERGENCY SERVICES

5206.1

Crisis/Emergency Services shall:

(a) Be provided in fifteen (15) minute units;

(b) Be authorized by DBH and billed in accordance with requirements set forth in Chapter 34 of Title 22-A DCMR; and

(c) Be provided in a DBH-certified MHRS provider's service site or home or community settings by Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSWs), APRNs, Licensed Independent Social Workers (LISWs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), RNs, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), Licensed Graduate Social Workers (LGSWs), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPCs), Psychology Associates, and Physician Assistants, or by credentialed staff under the supervision of a qualified practitioner licensed to practice.

5206.2

Crisis/Emergency services shall be delivered in accordance with the requirements set forth in Chapter 34 of Title 22-A DCMR.
