No mass disinterment shall be performed without the written authorization of the Registrar upon written application of the person requesting the mass disinterment.
The Registrar shall not authorize a mass disinterment unless he or she receives an order of the Court or signed permission from the next of kin authorizing the disinterment.
The Attorney General and the Director of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs shall review and approve each request for mass disinterment before the Registrar may authorize the disinterment.
The Registrar may issue one (1) authorization to permit mass disinterment and reinterment of all remains in a mass disinterment provided that, insofar as possible, the remains of each body is identified.
The Registrar's written authorization shall serve as official approval for disinterment, transportation, and reinterment.
