Rule 27-1506 - BID SAMPLES1506.1Each IFB shall state whether the bidder is required to furnish samples.
1506.2The contracting officer shall not require bidders to furnish bid samples unless there are characteristics of the product that cannot be described adequately in the specifications or purchase description.
1506.3The contracting officer shall only use bid samples to determine the responsiveness of the bid, and shall not be used to determine a bidder's ability to produce the required items.
1506.4The contracting officer shall reject a bid as nonresponsive if the sample fails to conform to each of the characteristics listed in the IFB.
