The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all domestic, foreign, and alien insurers that are authorized to transact insurance in the District of Columbia and required to file annual financial statements pursuant to the Required Annual Financial Statements and Participation in the NAIC Insurance Regulatory Information System Act of 1993, effective October 21, 1993 (D.C. Law 10-42; D.C Official Code § 31-1901et seq.), and corporate governance disclosures pursuant to the Insurer Corporate Governance Annual Report Act of 2021, effective September 22, 2021 (D.C. Law 24-26; 68 DCR 7994).
