Rule 25-A4600 - SERVICE OF NOTICE - PROPER METHODS4600.1A notice issued in accordance with this Code shall be deemed properly served if it is served by one (1) of the following methods:
(a) A Department representative, a law enforcement officer, or person authorized to serve a civil process personally services the notice and service is made to the licensee, the person in charge, or person operating a food establishment without a license;(b) The Department sends the notice to the last known home or business address of the licensee or person operating a food establishment without a license in accordance with § 205 of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs Civil Infractions Act of 1985, effective October 5, 1985 (D.C. Law 6-42; D.C. Official Code § 2-1802.05 (2011 Supp.)), or by other public means so that a written acknowledgment of receipt may be acquired; or(c) For civil infraction penalties, the notice is provided by the Department in accordance with 16 DCMR § 3102.D.C.
