Rule 22-A6500 - GENERAL PROVISIONS
6500.1

The Department of Behavioral Health (Department ) is the state authority with the responsibility to plan, develop, coordinate, and monitor comprehensive and integrated behavioral health systems of care for adults and for children, youth, and their families in the District. The Department is also responsible for arranging for authorized, publicly- funded behavioral health services and supports for the residents of the District.

6500.2

The purpose of these rules is to establish the transition planning service, including client/consumer eligibility, provider certification requirements, and service standards.

6500.3

No person or entity shall provide the transition planning service toclients/consumers eligible for the service under this chapter unless first certified by the Department in accordance to this chapter.

6500.4

Each transition planning provider shall meet and adhere to the terms and conditions of its Medicaid Provider Agreement with the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF).
