A veterinarian may delegate the care of a patient to an auxiliary or clinical support staff only when, in the veterinarian's competent professional judgment, such delegation is appropriate and legally permissible and the auxiliary or clinical support staff person is qualified to perform the duties.
The supervising veterinarian shall remain fully responsible and liable for all delegated functions and duties and all related actions performed by the auxiliary or clinical support staff.
A veterinarian may delegate duties, functions, or care of patients to a veterinary technician in accordance with §§ 11208 and 11209 of Chapter 112 (Veterinary Technicians) of this title.
A veterinarian may delegate some functions and duties to clinical support staff other than a veterinary technician in accordance with § 11210 of Chapter 112 (Veterinary Technicians) of this title.
