Rule 16-3116 - PAYMENT

3116.1

The following shall be the only acceptable forms of payment of a fine, penalty, cost, or other charge imposed under this chapter or the Act:

(a) Cash;

(b) Credit Card or other electronic payment; or

(c) A personal check, company check, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or bank money order payable to the order of the District of Columbia Treasurer.

3116.2

A payment in the form of cash shall not be accepted by mail.

3116.3

A respondent's submission of a personal check, company check, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or bank money order that is returned due to insufficient funds or for any other reason, shall constitute a failure to pay and a failure to respond properly to an NOI, second NOI, or decision.
