Rule 14-5327 - RESPONSIBILITY OF THE FAMILY TO ALLOW INSPECTION
5327.1

DCHA shall be allowed to inspect the unit at reasonable times with reasonable notice. The Family and owner are notified of the inspection appointment by mail. If the Family is not able to be at home, the Family shall call to reschedule the inspection or make arrangements to have an adult Family representative or the landlord present.

5327.2

If the Family misses the inspection appointment and does not arrange for the representative or the landlord to be there, one (1) more inspection or the annual return inspection appointment shall be scheduled.

5327.3

If the Family misses two (2) inspection appointments, DCHA shall consider the Family to have violated a Family obligation and the Family's assistance may be terminated, following the procedures for termination of assistance.

5327.4

If the Family can demonstrate in writing on or before the hearing process that they were unable to complete the inspections at the scheduled times due to a disability, DCHA shall rescind the request for termination. Evidence of the disability shall be provided to the HCVP HQS Inspections Department.
