Rule 12-H113 - FEES

Strike Chapter 1 of the International Fire Code in its entirety and insert new Chapter 1 in the Fire Code in its place to read as follows:

113.1

Fees. A permit shall not be issued until the applicable fees have been paid, nor shall an amendment to a permit be released until the additional fee, if any, has been paid.

113.2

Fee Schedule. A fee for each plan examination, permit and inspection shall be paid in accordance with the applicable fee schedule published in the D.C. Register, as amended from time to time.

113.3

Work Commencing Before Permit Issuance. Any person who commences any work, activity or operation regulated by the Fire Code before obtaining the necessary permits shall be subject to an additional fee, which shall be in addition to the required permit fees.

113.4

Related Fees. The payment of the fee for the construction, alteration, removal or demolition of work done in connection to or concurrently with the work or activity authorized by a permit shall not relieve the applicant or holder of the permit from the payment of other fees that are prescribed by law.
