Rule 11-G504 - SPECIAL EXCEPTION REVIEW CRITIERA504.1 In reviewing an application for a special exception in the MU-4/NO zone, in addition to the applicable criteria of this subtitle and Subtitle X, Chapter 9, the Board of Zoning Adjustment shall consider whether the proposed development is compatible with the following:
(a) Present and proposed development within and adjacent to the MU-4/NO zone;(b) Goals, objectives, and policies pertaining to Federal facilities, as found in the Comprehensive Plan and the Master Plans for the Federal facilities within the MU-4/NO zone; and(c) Role, mission, and functions of the Federal facilities within the MU-4/NO zone, considering the effect that the proposed development would have on such facilities;504.2 Before taking action on an application, the Board of Zoning Adjustment shall submit the application to the following agencies for review and written reports:
(a) The Office of Planning;(b) The District Department of Transportation;(c) The Department of Housing and Community Development;(d) The Historic Preservation Office if a historic district or historic landmark is involved; and(e) The National Capital Planning Commission.504.3 The Board of Zoning Adjustment may require special treatment and impose reasonable conditions as it deems necessary to mitigate any adverse impacts identified in the consideration of the application.
