Rule 10-B2808 - PLATS OF SURVEY
2808.1

Plats or certificates of survey shall be filed for recording in the Office of the Surveyor within five (5) calendar days after certification of the plat as required by § 2809.1.

2808.2

All plats shall contain the name, the business address and telephone number of the Registered Land Surveyor.

2808.3

The original drawing of the plat shall be in black waterproof India ink on polyester film (mylar) of four mil (0.004 mil.) thickness with matte surface on the drawing side only.

2808.4

Except as provided in § 2808.7, the standard sheet sizes shall be twelve inches by eighteen inches (12 in. x 18 in.), or eighteen inches by twenty-four inches (18 in. x 24 in.), with the smaller dimension being across the top of the sheet.

2808.5 A one and one-half inch (11/2 in.) wide binding margin shall be drawn on the left size of each standard size sheet.
2808.6

The property shown on the standard size sheet shall be without a directional arrow but oriented so that north is toward and perpendicular to the top of the sheet.

2808.7

The Office of the Surveyor shall expressly approve, prior to its use, a sheet size twenty-four inches by thirty-six inches (24 in. x 36 in.) or a width of forty-eight inches (48 in.) by a length needed to depict a survey.

2808.8

The twenty-four by thirty-six inch (24 in. x 36 in.) sheet shall be oriented so that a thirty-six inch (36 in.) side is at the top with a three inch (3 in.) wide binding margin drawn along the top of the sheet.

2808.9

The property shown on the approved oversized sheet may be oriented as appropriate to accommodate the property configuration and the drawing shall include a north arrow symbol.

2808.10

The use of transfer lettering, decals, or any application of adhesive material shall be unacceptable.

2808.11

For consistency in the presentation of information and uniformity of records in the Office of the Surveyor, all plats shall be drafted according to standards currently in use by the Office of the Surveyor, which are generally illustrated by the following examples, and when a curved lot line is shown, the line shall be annotated with its radius, arc length and central angle:
