D.C. Mun. Regs. tit. 10, r. 10-A2510

Current through Register Vol. 71, No. 43, October 25, 2024
Rule 10-A2510 - IM- 2.2 RECOMMENDED CHANGES TO THE ZONING REGULATIONS
2510.1

As noted in Section IM-1.3, the Zoning Regulations are a primary vehicle for implementing the Comprehensive Plan. The responsibility for zoning in the District of Columbia rests with the Zoning Commission. The Commission must give "great weight" to the recommendations of the Office of Planning on zoning cases, but has their own staff support (in the Office of Zoning). 2510.1

2510.2

Actions for the Zoning Commission to consider during its planned update and revision of the zoning regulations are highlighted in Table 25-1. This list is a roll-up of all the actions contained in the Elements of this Comprehensive Plan, including recommended changes to zoning or items that need further study. Some of the text in the table has been shortened here - the full text can be found in the Elements of the Plan. Some of the recommended changes should be made in the short-term rather than waiting until the Zoning Regulations update. 2510.2

The provisions of Title 10, Part A of the DCMR accessible through this web interface are codification of the District Elements of the Comprehensive Plan for the National Capital. As such, they do not represent the organic provisions adopted by the Council of the District of Columbia. The official version of the District Elements only appears as a hard copy volume of Title 10, Part A published pursuant to section 9 a of the District of Columbia Comprehensive Plan Act of 1994, effective April 10, 1984 (D.C. Law 5-76; D.C. Official Code § 1 -301.66)) . In the event of any inconsistency between the provisions accessible through this site and the provisions contained in the published version of Title 10, Part A, the provisions contained in the published version govern. A copy of the published District Elements is available www.planning.dc.gov.
